Click to view the Alarm Receivers pageThe alarm receives page is where the recipients of Motornostix alarms are specified. For a detailed explanation of how Alarms work please see the Analysis | Alarms section. In brief, when a measurable on a device passes through its preset Alarm Setpoint, and the alarm is confirmed as valid, an e-mail or SMS (text message) will be sent to the designated alarm receivers. By default e-mail is sent to Alarm Receivers, if they also want to receive an SMS (Text) notification they must ensure that the Receive SMS check box on the Setup | Preferences page is selected.
To specify Alarm Receivers, select the check box next to the required users name.

To specify Alarm Escalation receivers, select the check box next to the required users name.
Obviously it is important to ensure not only that Alarm Setpoints are appropriately set – read how to do this in the Alarm Setpoints section – but also that the e-mail address and mobile phone number provided for an alarm recipient are correct!
The format of mobile phone numbers must follow this convention Mobile number format:

Text messages display the device identifier, the name of the measurable where the alarm was raised, the measurable setpoint and the measurable reading that caused the alarm.
